# What is the DAOry ? The DAOry is a community hub composed exclusively of Aurorian holders. It’s a fun place to hang out, but that’s not all it is; the DAOry helps support Aurory by increasing its brand awareness. The DAOry accomplishes this autonomously through community initiatives and proposals, community marketing on social media, and partnerships with other project teams and their communities. At the helm of the DAOry organization are five council members, voted in by the community every six months. The job of the council is to discuss ideas brought up by the community and ultimately bring them to an official proposal that all Aurorian holders can vote on (1 Aurorian = 1 vote). Councilors play a crucial role in overseeing the DAOry’s treasury, which is amongst the most funded DAO treasuries on Solana. Each councilor is also responsible for a department. In the first term, councilors focused primarily on creating a framework for initiatives, proposals, voting, and so forth, so that future councilors would have a proper foundation to stand on when executing on ideas that the community has. In the second term, councilors were focused on conservative treasury management while trying to put capital to work, such as by staking $AURY and $SOL. In its third term, the DAOry council was looking to be a bit more risk-on with the treasury while still remaining fairly conservative. This is being done through initiatives such as using the treasury to hire a social media manager for the DAOry Twitter account. In its fourth term, the DAOry switched its structure by reducing the Councilors from 9 to 5 persons and by recruiting 3 advisors and 2 full-time employees (SMM + BD). The goal remains to propose alternative investment choices to grow the treasury, conduct giveaways, and explore all sorts of other ideas. In its fifth term, the DAOry has maintained the same structure (5 councilors, 3 advisors, 1 SMM, 1 BD). Their goal were to grow the brand and reach of the DAOry while ensuring the amplification of Aurory's communication and events related to the Seeker of Tokane game. They managed to reach their goals, setting up never seen before in-game events, providing added values to Aurorians by boosting expeditions rewards by 100% and creating the DAOry Shop! In its sixth term, the DAOry delved deep into the legal implications of distributing the Solana treasury among holders. While the subject was thoroughly explored, the viable options remained limited at the time. Beyond those discussions, the team successfully launched regular tournaments on the AmikoGG platform and completed a rebrand of the DAOry website. Now in its seventh term, the DAOry has restructured by removing the BD role (now consisting of 5 councilors, 3 advisors, and 1 SMM). While their mission remains unchanged, they are shifting focus toward a potential distribution event or answering the ultimate question: "What else is next?" Whatever happens, the community always comes first; all ideas are discussed by Aurorian holders prior to being realized. The Council within DAOry serves as the pivotal governance body, meticulously structured to oversee the organization's strategic direction and ensure operational efficiency. The Council comprises of three distinct groups: * 1 Full-Time Employee * 5 Active Councilors * 3 Advisors Each group plays a unique role in steering DAOry towards its vision. For this term the Councilor and their departments are : * Head of Council: @Joenaes * Community & Outreach: @erismaerd @\~/chocoopanda * Infrastructure and Development: @MVB * Finance & Investment: @Marty * DAO Structure & Documentation: @\~/chocoopanda The goals of each departments are: * Community & Outreach: Focused on brand expansion, social media strategies, gamer engagement, and event planning. * nfrastructure & Development: Responsible for website maintenance, on-chain solutions, and technological infrastructure. * Finance & Investment: Tasked with maximizing yields, identifying investment opportunities, and financial planning. * DAO Structure & Documentation: Manages DAO constitution, proposal evaluations, and ensures effective documentation and organizational structure. # Budget & Stipends The Councilors receive the following monthly stipend to compensate for their efforts: * 1,000 $USD + 300 $AURY per month for each Full Time Employee * 500 $USD + 600 $AURY per month for the Head of Council * 150 $USD + 300 $AURY per month for each Councilor * 200 $AURY per month for each Advisor They also have a maximum budget of $10,000 per month for discretionary spending to cover their costs and activities. So the total treasury value is even higher than shown. # How to make a proposal ## Proposal Requirements The purpose of these requirements is to allow Aurorians to make informed decisions before casting their votes. The first step is to open a new post under the #proposals section in Discord with the following information at a minimum: * Title * Purpose/Goal * Analysis of merits, drawbacks, and risks (if applicable) Once the forum post reaches 20 thumbs-up reactions, the initiator must write the proposal in a Google Doc to submit it to the Council. * This document does not need to be an extensive report (e.g., a single A4 page will suffice). However, it is the responsibility of the proposer to provide a clear argument and analysis. * When the Council decides to move forward with a proposal for voting, they will also provide their thoughts on the merits, drawbacks, and risks, generally within a single A4 page.\ Additional documents are optional.
