# How to get it to vote

Once a proposal reach 20 thumbs-up on Discord in the #proposals channel it can be put to an on-chain vote, mediated by DAO councilor (or advisor). 

Once the vote is live on Matrica, a certain Quorum has to be reach in order for the proposal to pass :

The Council has the capability to decline postings of malicious proposals.&#x20;
